Meet Motley

Motley and her sister Crue were adopted together as kittens, but they unfortunately found themselves back at the rescue after their family surrendered them after seven months. Although we are sad that Motley and Crue have to look for a forever home again, we are grateful that they were returned to a safe place. We're not sure exactly what happened, but Motley and Crue were surrendered in overall good physical condition, however clearly were needing more love than could be offered from their first family.

Motley and Crue are now about 9 months old and back in the same foster home where they spent their first few months. They love getting pets, eating treats, and decompressing in a safe and warm environment.

Motley is a quiet and gentle soul who loves hanging out on the highest perch in the house. Her distinctive facial marks make it seem as if she's silently judging the mere mortals who deign to come before her. Motley loves being pet and scratched and will eagerly lean in to gentle pets from her foster mom (see the videos!).

Motley is a bit of a chonky girl and her ample belly pouch swings as she jumps down to receive pets and treats from her foster mom. Motley has very soft fur and is easily picked up and handled. Her foster mom often carries her around like a baby, holding her close and scratching her chin as she purrs. It took Motley over a week to play with toys-we're not sure if anyone played with her at her first home, but she's gradually discovering how fun feather chasers can be.

Motley lived with a family with young children, but seems to be thriving in a calm and quiet environment. She would do best in a quiet house with adults willing to give her time to blossom into her true self. Motley would do well as a single cat, but also could be comfortable in a home with another cat. She seems quite afraid of dogs and is not recommended for a home with a dog. Motley can be adopted by herself or with her sister Crue.
