Meet Minerva! She is a gorgeous lynx point Siamese girl that was found was a stray with her litter of kittens before the entire family was brought indoors to safety. They were placed in a loving foster home to become socialized and ready for their forever families. Now that her kittens are old enough for adoption, this gorgeous mama deserves a safe home as well.

According to her foster, Minerva was initially quite shy and untrusting of people, but has made amazing progress. She would love to find an adopter that is patient with her and lets her determine the pace of interactions. Minerva's foster states that she can be pet her, as well as her husband and others, as long as they let her smell their hand first. Minerva will lean in if interested in attention and lean out if she wants to be left alone. When comfortable, head and cheek pets are her favorite, but she is starting to tolerate soft pets down her back and tail also.

Minerva will rub against legs, a couch or a lap, especially if dry food is offered. She eats gently out of her foster's hands. She is not yet comfortable with being picked up and is hoping to find an understanding adopter that will work with her and build trust first. She will play eagerly with her fosters and chase toys on her own as well. Minerva needs a home without small children or toddlers. Older children, that understand cat behaviors and cues, should be fine. She can get anxious about closed doors and would love to have an adopter that is home with her a lot. She gets along with another cat in her foster home and, after a proper introduction, would likely enjoy a kitty friend in her forever home.

Do you have patience and love to share with this beauty? She has come a long way in her socialization and would love to find an experienced adopter that will continue to work with her. She will thrive in the right home and become an amazing companion.
