Meet Milo
Greetings, esteemed feline enthusiasts and admirers of the aged and distinguished! My name is Milo and I am an 11 year old chocolate point Himalayan looking for my new forever home. After spending my entire life with my family, I was owner surrendered for being “gross.” You see, I need a little extra care compared to a cat with a snout!
The shorter the muzzle, the more money they make and my breeder wanted all that money! Due to that, my face is extremely smooshed which leads to my eyes leaking, getting goopy and sometimes my nose gets clogged. It sounds like I am constantly struggling to breathe and I often snore. My voice even sounds squeaky and dolphin like! Because of my flattened face, I do require a non-smoking home. But all I need is to have my eyes wiped daily! My foster mom uses a baby wipe to clean them in the morning and in the evening. I don’t even fight her too hard-it makes me feel better! She is also working on getting my catne under control!
When I was surrendered, they had to shave off TWO POUNDS worth of matting. So my new family would need to be dedicated to regularly brushing me to keep my coat healthy and mat free! If needed, you may need to pay for me to get professionally groomed or shaved.
My foster family says I am one mellow, sweet boy and I absolutely adore my foster dad. I like to snuggle up in bed and just purr the whole time. I really want to be out with my foster brothers, but they disagree! I think I would really like the companionship of a fur sibling if they wanted me too! Older children would be ok in the home but younger, louder children do scare me a bit.
I get little bursts of energy every once in a while and I like to play. I will reach out and touch you to let you know when I want you to pet me or pick me up. I also want 100% of your attention so I will head butt your phone to remind you to put it down and pay attention to me!
