Miles Tabby & Domestic Short Hair Mix San Francisco, CA

Hi! I'm Miles! I was rescued on the streets in San Francisco as a kitten. I was previously adopted but the other kitty who was already living there bullied me. I was so sad because I always got along really well with other kitties in the past and I even get along with the kitties I live with now in my foster home. I really don't know why he picked on me but I do know it wasn't easy for me. I'm initially shy in new environments but it's understandable after living on edge in my previous home and tiptoeing around the other kitty not knowing when I might need to run and hide. When I first arrived in my foster home I looked for any place where I could hide because I didn't know where I was or who was here. I'll admit it, I was scared. I managed to find a few places where even my foster human didn't think to look but once she realized I'm a Houdini, she made sure to secure the places where she didn't want me hiding. It took me some time to relax and realize no one was going to bully me here and now I'm feeling more like my usual kind and lovable self. I'm a handsome, sweet, mellow, and gentle kitty. I love receiving attention from my humans and also enjoy companionship with mellow, easy-going furiends who don't need to be the alpha kitty. I've already made a furiend here in my foster home and we occasionally cuddle up together in a bed, he's very sweet like me. Although I'm laid-back most of the time, I do have a playful side too. Whether it's tapping a mouse between my paws or chasing a wand toy, I do like to play now and then. I'm looking for a quieter home with a patient family who understands I'll need some time to feel safe and secure before I begin opening up. I'll be happiest in a mature family that will respect my need for gentle love and if you have a chill kitty who would like a chill furiend that would be great! I had a really hard time living with a kitty who did everything to intimidate me but that's all in the past. I'm ready for a fresh start with a family whom I can love furever!
