Meet Mercury!
This adorable kitten is out of this world. Only 8 months old, he is still full of kittenish silliness, but he is also sweet and loving: his favorite activity is to be our little gray shadow and follow us everywhere. This kitten would love to be someone's best friend. He enjoys napping on our desk to keep us company while we're working, showing off the very faint spots on his tummy.
Mercury was found under a shed with his siblings as a young kitten. He has some clouding in his eyes as a result of his rough start in life, but still sees well and doesn't need any special care. We think his silvery eyes are so handsome and special.
Mercury is great with kids, dogs, and other cats-he loves to sleep snuggled up with other cats here at the rescue. A sensitive, soulful kitten, Mercury needs a little time to trust new people, but once he makes that connection, he wants nothing more than to be close to you. He will even choose to play his goofy kitten games near his favorite people, and brings laughter to everyone in his life. Mercury loves to chase after wand toys, but will also happily entertain himself by pouncing dramatically on crinkly balls or springs. Mercury is also super smart...there is a lot going on behind those mysterious-looking eyes!
