MeMa Domestic Long Hair Bellingham, WA

Hi, my name is MeMa ! I came to the Humane Society as a semi-feral mama cat with 6 kittens. The kittens are still in foster care, but I'm ready to come back and find my forever home now that my wonderful foster mother has taught me to relax (I even come to her when she calls me) and begin to trust loving people. My favorite things are purring and talking--a lot! I haven't learned to trust other humans yet, but a cautious and experienced cat person will teach me to love if they go very slowly. I need a quiet household where I can become my full and healthy cat self!
I'm a RED pawprint, which means I need an experienced home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Can Live with Cats: No
-Can Live with Dogs: Probably not.
-Can Live with Kids: Only mature older teens who know how to treat a fearful kitty
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes, please.
-History of Litter Box Issues: No
-Energy Level: Medium. I'm only a year old, so I still have kitten energy in me, but my life has been hard and I've been sedate while caring for my babies. Once I adjust to a safe home, I might just still have jumps in me.
-Bite History: None
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, spay.
Additional Information:
I like to rub against your legs, but am NOT ready to be picked up. And for now, only pet me on my back and tail when I'm standing: I'll use my eyes and ears to tell you if I feel agitated. If you don't pay attention, I have claws to remind you. After you show me how loving and trustworthy you are, you can gently teach me how to receive more pets. Sometimes I like to lie beside you and I listen well when you talk in a calm, gentle voice.
