Hi, my name is Max. I am independent, friendly and intelligent. I would make a good companion to my new person. I prefer to be the one in charge of making decisions. I love to lay in the sunshine on my blanket. I enjoy being in the company of humans, but I do not require a lot of interaction. I really like to have my own space. I will sit beside you but the lap thing is probably not going to happen. I like for people to talk to me. I enjoy being petted a little when I request it. When I came into the shelter I had a vet visit and the vet. thinks I was hit by a car. So my face is not purrfect and my teeth either. I am blind on that side of my face. I am a very, very big cat and so, so handsome. Just look and don't touch. I am a really sweet boy and would be great company for someone that needed/wanted an older cat for companionship. I am probably 4 or more age wish. I do get along with most cats at the shelter. One of my pictures shows me in Sally's cage. I get to be free in the building and so really love the catio. I even let other cats come into my own cage with me in there and I will watch them eat my food. I just sit and watch. I am quiet and sometimes the cat lady will ask where I am and she will find me in our wonderful protected catio.
