Maui is a beautiful sweet petite cat always up for affection.

This striking calico mama was a pregnant stray from North Minneapolis. She was brought into foster care in January and delivered her kittens 2 weeks later. Maui did an amazing job raising 5 kittens and has successfully taught them the skills they need to venture off to their forever homes. While Maui enjoyed her time with her kittens, she is ready to explore opportunities that will let her be a young cat again on her own. Maui is approximately two years old and still has plenty of playful energy.

She prefers to be in the vicinity of humans or other animals. While this sweetie is not used to being picked up, she will never turn down pets and attention. Maui likes to play with the resident cats in her foster home, and enjoys mice, feathers, and glittery balls.

An attentive mother, Maui spent much of her initial time in foster care raising her kittens. Now that she has her independence back, she can be found napping in the sun, having fun with the resident felines, or wandering round the house looking for pets.

Maui lives with a family of 7 humans, 2 resident cats, and 1 dog. She is a little tentative around chaos and may dart away upon a loud noise, but is quick to return when she understands there is no potential for harm. Maui warms up to strangers quickly; it is actually new situations, not people, that put her on guard.

Maui would do well in a home with other animals with whom she can play and share affection. She would also be okay as an only cat, provided she could live with humans who work from home/are home a lot, and who have lots of love to give her all day long. Please note that Maui is completely an indoor cat. She does not express any desire to roam or get outside. This friendly gal will get along great with cats, cat-friendly dogs, and gentle children.

After her start on the street, and after doing such a great job with her kittens, this pretty girl deserves to live the cushy indoor life with lots of love and fun.
