If only he could tell us his story…

He was found as a stray in the Ottawa area and ended up with the kind folks at the Ottawa Humane Society where he quickly became staff favorite.

Unfortunately, no one came to claim Marty and due to the serious animal crisis we are in right now Marty’s time was running out. There are too many unwanted animals and the shelters are filled to capacity.

We saw the urgent post asking for help with Marty and so Marty’s journey began.

Marty was transported from Ottawa to Hamilton by the wonderful organization, Critter Cabs which is made up of volunteers, who give so much of themselves to help animals in need get to where they need to go. We are so grateful to Critter Cabs they literally save lives.

Marty arrived at the vet clinic we use where he received a much needed dental and had five teeth removed, including two of his back molars that were fractured.
Marty also quickly became a staff favourite at East Mountain Animal Hospital winning staff over with his sweet personality.

Marty is now in foster care where we are learning more about him. He’s very sweet natured boy who likes to be near his person. He’s not a lap cat per se, but he enjoys being close to you. He also has an independent side where he loves to birdwatch and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He’s currently living with a small dog and gets along well with him. They play chase and do enjoy looking out the window together.

Marty is approximately 5 years old and is deaf when he had his dental his ears were scoped and the vet believes his deafness is genaric. Marty feels vibrations and responds to hand movements.

Marty has the most soulful, beautiful green eyes that melt your heart. He loves to be brushed and loves head scratches and will give you head bumps in return. He purrs up a storm and loves making biscuits. He can be chatty when seeking you out and has the cutest meow.

Marty is a very special boy who is looking for that special home who will in return love him unconditionally.
