Marble is a sweet kitty who takes a little bit of time to build trust with. When he gets nervous, he will hide in a small space behind things, or under something like a blanket, towel or even under a cat bed. Even when he is nervous, he is very easy to pick up and carry if he is in a space you can reach. He likes to be pet and enjoys being brushed. When he feels safe, he will sometimes roll over to offer her tummy for a rub or to play, or let you carry him cradled in your arms like a baby. At night he sleeps with or close to his cat companions in a cat bed, but he loves to cuddle in bed with people under the covers most times that the opportunity is offered. He occasionally meows at or lays in front of closed bedroom doors during the daytime, to check in on each of his people if he hasn’t seen in quite a while (ex. the teens when they have been gone for most of the day to school). We keep bedroom doors closed here but he seems very interested in having access to all the rooms. He likes napping on a dining chair that is tucked in under the table and will make biscuits there, so it would be good to cover any chair fabric to protect it. He loves to use the scratching post.

Marble enjoys watching the other cats play and will participate passively, but he comes alive at the sight of a laser pointer and will happily chase it through the house. (It is also a useful tool to coax him out from under a bed etc) He will also sometimes play chase with his cat companions.

Marble is very easy to put into a cat carrier. He did try to give the vet a little warning nip when he felt scared being microchipped but was otherwise very good at the vet. Marble would do best in a fairly calm household with older children or adults only. He would be happy to be placed with his foster littermate Lacey as they offer each other comfort.
