Meet Mabel
INTRODUCING...MABEL!!!
Mabel is a 4ish year old seal torti point bi-color himalayan. She is fully vetted (spayed, fiv/felv negative, vaccinated, microchipped, etc) and is ready for her forever home.
Mabel ended up in rescue when her previous owners got a dog. The dog was aggressive with Mabel. The people picked the dog over Mabel.
Mabel can be a sweet girl - but (typical of torti girls) she definitely has some sass to her!!
Mabel is actually fine with our dogs dogs - she's not afraid of them at all. No kids. Mabel would prefer to be an only cat but she'd probably be okay with a chill, laidback boy cat.
Mabel was recently diagnosed with slight arthritis in her right back hip. Our vet is recommending monthly Solencia injections - it's a great treatment for arthritis in cats. It does cost about $100/month.
Mabel is a pretty low maintenance kitty, as far as persians/himalayans go. No eye cleaning required. Her coat doesn't mat much. *But* she is terrified of being groomed. Our vet prescribed gabapentin to help with this: I give her the meds about 2 hours beforehand & than I'm able to do any grooming necessary. I recently shaved Mabel down to make life easier for all involved.
Adoption fee - $200.
