Meet Lemon
Birthday: December 28, 2014
Maybe you'd think that a cat named Lemon would be a sourpuss? Think again! With her sunshine-yellow highlights, this brown tabby is as sweet and mellow as lemon cake on a summer evening. Lemon loves her people and makes a special effort to greet you at the door. Independent and affectionate at the same time, she's almost always up for brush and cuddle session—but if you aren't into it, she'll give you your space. And Lemon delights in playtime! Wand toys and catnip conspire to bring out her inner kitten. And you should see how she can entertain herself with a ping pong ball!
A couple things Lemon would like you to know about her:
- Don’t take her initial hesitance personally. Lemon is a smart, senior lady who will need a few days to get comfortable in her new home. You can help her out by making sure she’s got a quiet space to curl up in a soft bed. Lemon has impeccable manners. If she’s not joining you on the couch or the bed, it might be because she hasn’t been invited. Once she feels secure, she’ll establish her backup bed in your lap and reward you with her deep rumbling purr.
- If you have other cats in the home, it’s essential to introduce them to Lemon slowly. A previous family rushed introductions to their resident cats and she’s still cautious around them.
- To keep this mature gal in peak health, Lemon requires a renal diet and she has discriminating tastes. She’s enthusiastic about meal time and loves to share that enthusiasm with her favorite humans.
Lemon's adoption donation is $75 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
