Meet Lana Nyx. She along with her senior friends, Charlie and Brewster are all looking for a forever home: Lana is the shyest of the bunch, and it will take her a long time to feel comfortable. When she, Brewster and Charlie were being transported from their original foster home, Lana and another kitty were supposed to go to one foster while Charlie and Brewster went to another foster. Unfortunately, Lana’s companion died during transport, and the decision was made to keep her with Charlie and Brewster so that she would have an easier time transitioning to a new foster home. Over the last year Lana has started to come out of her shell. She’s still nervous in situations, but she never hisses, growls or strikes out in fear. She will freeze and then bolt to her safe spaces. She has recently started to repeatedly dart in front of her foster mom when it’s food time. It’s her way of letting you know she’s excited to see you and for food, but without you actually having a chance to really touch her. You can often find Lana sitting in a cat tree, enjoying the sun and looking outside at the snow, birds, and whatever else happens to appear on the porch or in the garden. Lana does allow for pets when she is absorbed in eating. You’ll be able to get in a a few good pets and then she’ll reposition herself, but again, she won’t growl, hiss or strike out at you. With lots of time and consistency, she will make a really sweet cat that balances out Charlie’s love bulldozer tendencies, and Brewster’s straightforward friendliness.

All kitties are completely vetted, which includes feluk/fiv testing, deworming, age appropriate vaccines and spay or neuter.
