Some things in life are just perfect pairs – salt & pepper, mac & cheese, Ernie & Bert, even Brady & Gronk! Well, please meet our perfect pair…Lalique and Schubert. These two balls of fluff have been together for as long as one can remember and were surrendered when their parents got older and couldn’t care for them any longer. Lalique is a grey, puffy female who is 8 ½ years old and Schubert is her older brother, a white fluffball, who is 13 ½ years old. Their foster mom said she has never met friendlier cats in all her life! They LOOOOOOOOOOOVE attention and aren’t shy about who they seek it from. New friends, old friends – they are open to any and all love…and laps! They never met a lap they couldn’t snuggle up on, and they often love to double-snuggle on their foster mom’s lap! To keep up their absolutely gorgeous looks, they are expert groomers and even help each other out to get those tough spots that aren’t easy to reach. Schubert plays the big brother role very well, often helping Lalique expedite her baths. They aren’t ever far from each other nor their foster mom, even sleeping on either side of her on the bed. As professional cuddlers, they even enjoy being groomed – seeing a brushing session as a bonus snuggle session with foster mom! They run and jump around the house, playing with all different toys, but they do enjoy playing with toys independent of one another – they successfully “kill” many toys without each other’s help. When Schubert came to TCC he was in need of dental work and so he lives the “gummer life” now and couldn’t be happier! He, and Lalique, are excellent eaters and his teeth (or lack thereof) haven’t stopped him from living his best life. They are both quiet purring machines but Schubert is slightly more attention-seeking, with Lalique often deferring to him and following his lead. This dynamic duo is sure to steal the heart of anyone who needs some double fluff in his or her life. Does your lap have enough room for these two lovebugs?

We request $100 for each cat 10 and over, $150 for each cat 5-10 years old, $200 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $225 for each kitten under a year old. These fees fund neutering, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!
