Lacey is a sweet, gentle, somewhat independent girl who loves to sit on the couch with you to be pet, especially in the evening. She plays only a little with most toys, but absolutely loves to chase a laser pointer, and will occasionally play chase with her cat companions. She will on the rare occasion use the scratching post and doesn’t seem to scratch anywhere else. While she loves to be pet anytime that you’re offering, she is not
a huge fan of being picked up. She likes being brushed, but also seems to think that the brush is a toy. At night Lacey sleeps in her cat bed, with or close to the other cats that she has been fostering with, but during the day she sometimes likes to nap in the corner behind the toilet, or on top of a warm floor vent. Lacey loves wet food time. She is generally fairly quiet but will sometimes give a little meow to say hello when she comes to sit with you, or gives a meow of excitement when you are preparing her a meal. She is also curious about what the people in the house are eating. It is fairly easy to get Lacey into her cat carrier if you do it within a small area where she doesn’t need to be picked up for very long. She was nervous but very well behaved at the vet when being held on the counter there. She just pressed herself very close to me. If something makes Lacey nervous, she will usually head to a quiet corner in the washroom to be on her own or with her foster littermate Marble for a little while; but even then, will happily take pets if you come to offer them. Lacey would be well-suited to a household with older children and adults. She would be happy to be placed with her foster littermate Marble, as they offer each other comfort.
