Meet King Kong

King Kong was humanely trapped a week ago on Big Cross Street. Our trapper quickly realized that even though he has spent a number of years outside fighting the elements and for his life, he was a friendly and mellow boy. Our intention was to have him neutered and vaccinated and put him back out with his colony until we realized he was friendly.
During his vetting, we found out Kong is FIV+. This is not deadly and he can still live a happy life. FIV is not easily transmitted and he can do well with older cats in the home. Please don't let Kong's rough exterior deter you from opening your heart and home to him, he deserves happiness just like any other rescue.
Kong is safe in foster care with his trapper where she is taking things slow and allowing him to adjust to being indoors. He is very mellow and enjoys being pet. We know he will be so grateful to have a family to love him!! And give lots of love in return. Kong is around 7-8 years old, neutered, received his rabies vaccination, FIV+ / FeLV-, and has received a flea treatment and dewormer.
