Kenzie was a stray in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She did not get claimed or have a microchip so she is a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty now. Kenzie has now been spayed, is up to date on shots, and tested negative for FeLV / FIV.

Kenzie is about 7-1/2 months old as of Jan. 2023. She is a white kitty with patches of tabby coloring...has a white tip on her tail which I find so cute. She is a shy kitty but her foster mom is working with her and Kenzie is warming up a little more each day. She will let you hold her and loves chin rubs. Being inside is a new experience for her and it will take time, love, and patience for her to settle in to her foster home and really to any home. She is not used to loud noises and it scares her. A home with non-noisy older children would be best. Recommend whoever adopts keeps her keeps her in a small room until she learns to trust and realize that noises are not the enemy. We can help give you advice if you would like. Shy kitties are the best once they bond with you. It is a deep love and the greatest feeling once they trust you.

Kenzie has a brother named Loki listed on her too. He is also shy. She can be adopted with her brother. If she is adopted by herself, your home must have a friendly young kitty friend for her. She cannot be an only cat.

Kenzie's adoption fee is $95.00.


WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office
