Meet Joe (in foster)

Joe
By now, you may be aware that my three siblings and I were surrendered to the HSHC due to our owner losing her home. When four littermates come from one home, it's hard to keep anything secret. My secret is that even though I am the biggest of the four (14.8 pounds!) I am also the shyest. While none of us are known for our extroverted personality, I am the most unsocialized one in the bunch. I am already neutered, litterbox trained, and have always lived with cats and kids. When we moved to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC) I soon found a great big grey doughnut in which I fit perfectly! It became my favorite place to sleep and stay out of the way of people entering the cafe. One of the staff members unzipped the doughnut so the interviewer lady could at least see me. I allowed her to pet my head and was very polite to her. But because I was so uncomfortable with the attention of the public, it was decided that I come back to the HSHC to decompress. I have the same coloring as my sister Rosie. My coat is incredibly soft, and I enjoy a good petting session when I feel brave. My new family will need to give me plenty of time to settle into my new home. I may need more time than you think necessary to feel comfortable. Just cause you're big does not mean you are brave! 5-13-24
