Jumbo-Jimbo was part of a feral colony living down on the south west part of Cincinnati near the river. He was being fed by a man who was working on socializing him when he noticed the cat’s tongue was lacerated. He could not afford vet bills so he called us to surrender him. Jimmy was put on antibiotics and monitored and healed up nicely. He was quarantined and tested after 8 weeks to make sure he was negative for FIV/FeLV. During his quarantine, he picked up quite a bit of weight which we hope will start to even out after he transitions to a free range room this week. He appears to be very good natured and has no problems being handled, in fact he loves attention! We imagine he will be good with children as long as they know how to properly handle him. Not sure how he’d be around dogs but it also depends on the dog’s personality many times. He likes the on-site shelter dog. He is definitely an alpha cat though and a little bossy with the other cats so he should probably be an only cat in the household.
