Meet Ivy Ann

Meet Ivy Ann! Ivy Ann is a gray tabby with a white chest and paws and is approximately 3 - 5 years old.. She has had a HARD life.

Ivy Ann was found by a Good Samaritan when she began eating at the Good Samaritan's house. Ivy appeared to have been living in an old, abandoned house in the neighborhood. She was hungry, but very shy. She would come every day to eat and would cautiously wait at a distance until the lady was far away from the food. Maybe she was failed by a human before. She was ear-tipped, which meant she was somehow trapped as a stray, probably with a colony of cats, and had been spayed and given vaccines...but now here she was alone again and out in the cold winter weather.

The Good Samaritan monitored her but was now noticing that something appeared to be wrong. Ivy Ann's eye was looking strange and that's when the GS decided to contact us. She was able to trap Ivy and bring her to us asap and a vet visit indicated that Ivy Ann's eye globe had been punctured. The vet said she could have been attacked or bumped it somehow, but it is a very unusual injury, due to the location on her eye. This was extremely painful. Time was of the essence now as we needed to have her eye removed before infection set in.

Once her eye was removed, the real Ivy Ann emerged... a loving and beautiful sweet girl. Ivy Ann enjoys being pet and will often talk to you and meet you at the door for scritches. At times, she will hide out for alone time and very much enjoys sitting on a high perch of the climber and looking out the sunny window to birdwatch and watch all the goings-on ouside. Ivy Ann is not a fan of other cats, and will bat at them when they come near, hence needing alone time.

Ivy Ann's perfect home would be a quiet, low activity home with older children aged 10 or older, if any children at all. (Ivy Ann iha been known to nip - only twice in 3 months, but it is worth mentioning. We are still working on her manners.) She would be a great companion cat and so desperately wants to be loved. She has had a hard life. Ivy would do best as an only cat or a cat with maybe one other cat.

Ivy Ann is spayed, up to date on her distemper and rabies vaccines, has combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration - you won't need to register her and pay fees year after year - it's done! Please take a chance on Ivy Ann. She so desperately wants to have her own family or person. She has so much love to give and has been dealt a bad hand in life. It would be so awesome to turn this sweet girl's life around. If you are interested, please contact us at 540.717.4420 or email GoodMews22@aol.com
