Meet Howard (FeLV+) and Myrtle (FeLV+) (Bonded Pair)

Howard and Myrtle are an affectionate bonded pair looking for their forever home!

Each of these sweeties came into foster care months apart, from different parts of the state, yet their names would suggest that they belong together. And they do! Howard and Myrtle were meant for each other, and maybe they belong with you. If you could use a little more love and joy in your life, this pair has plenty to share!

Howard is a mellow three-year-old boy, and this guy is all about love! He is a honey bear, built strong and solid with a simple mind and a huge heart. He was roughed up earlier in life, but he's a lover not a fighter--slow to forget, but quick to forgive. Howard is sensitive, passive, innocent and so very sweet. Once he feels he can trust you, he will invite you into his heart and give the best purrs.

He craves love and leans into kind caresses. He accepts kisses, shares hugs, and is happiest to spend his days in your presence, or better yet, on your lap. In the right setting, Howard could be a good therapy pet because of his gentle, sensitive, and generous nature.

And then there's happy-go-lucky Myrtle, full of joy! Myrtle is half the size of Howard and less than half his age. She keeps him young at heart with her spunky, fun-loving personality. Myrtle is playful, friendly, and well-adjusted. Nothing bothers her. She's an absolute delight! She has an active mind and is always down for easy play with a pole toy, but if no human is available, she will find ways to entertain herself.

Myrtle is curious yet cautious. This cutie was born without eyelids, and trauma to her right eye has left her partially blind. She recently received treatment to remove fur that was rubbing directly on her eyes. Now that she feels better, she's even more fun and affectionate. One thing about Myrtle...she can't hold her licker...in other words, this girl will lick you for hours if you let her! She's got the softest, cleanest fur, and keeps Howard in tip-top shape.

Grooming sessions often turn into low-key play fighting. Most of their days are spent sleeping and watching wildlife, with each of them briefly taking turns tackling a toy. They currently live in a quiet home, and have not met a dog or kids, but would likely do well if no one is a bully. This duo is happiest when a kind person is home and gives them even a few minutes of quality time. They deserve to be loved, and so do you. Howard is very tuned into his human. He will communicate with you and may even attempt to "play catch" with you if you're paying attention.

Because Howard and Myrtle both tested positive for FeLV, they may need some extra care to live their best life. They will thrive in a stable, non-stressful environment with kind attentive humans who promise to provide lots of love, good quality food, fresh water, regular immunizations and annual vet visits. FeLV is not contagious to humans or dogs but can be transferred to cats. Therefore, these two cannot share space with another feline friend unless it is also FeLV+. Fortunately, Howard and Myrtle found and adore each other. Do you have space in your heart for them to share their love with you?
