Meet Honeydew
Honeydew is adorable. Honeydew is very friendly and affectionate which is amazing with all she has been through. Honeydew was dumped out on the streets when her owners left her behind. She did not have the street smarts for that life and now finds herself FIV+. She is an apparently very healthy young girl and loves to play and be pet. Honeydew is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations nd ready for her forever home.
This kitty has tested positive for FIV, similar to HIV in people. It can not be transmitted through casual contact, sharing food, water, or a litter box. It can not be transmitted to people or other pet species. It is typically only transmitted to other cats via a deep bite wound. FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives! They do tend to have more dental issues and absolutely must be kept safely indoors at all times.
