Heather CC Domestic Long Hair Wells, ME

Although sweet Heather looks grumpy in all of her photos, she is a delightful, gentle cat who is just beginning to trust the people around her. As she hears volunteers in the hallway, Heather comes to the door and waits to see who's coming to visit her room. We are impressed with her progress because she got off to a rough start in the shelter due to an eye infection that needed to be medicated twice daily for 10 days. She has since forgiven us and though shy, she loves to play with wand toys and she's so fun to watch because of her graceful attempts to grab the toy. Heather is a petite kitty who gets along with the other cats in the room, but we are not sure how she will get alone with non-colony cats. Since she is mellow and independent, she might do fine with a new cat. She is still "semi-feral" so a quiet, yet active household without young children, and with cat savvy adults who have experience with shy cats will be her best home environment. The ideal adoption would involve another of the Colony cats to accompany Heather to her new home.
