Gretchen is a loyal, playful, and sweet cat! Gretchen loves climbing cat trees, sitting at the windows, playing with string toys, and napping in cat beds.

She loves her people and wants to be present, typically putting on a show of wrestling with Jolene on the carpet for all to watch! Her nickname is the “car wash,” as she loves to clean other cats—Jolene or typically calmer male cats.

Gretchen loves to have her shoulders scratched and her back petted, but she complains when picked up. She likes wet food, string toys, and sleeps in cat beds on her humans’ beds.

Gretchen and Jolene switch from sweetly grooming each other to playfully wrestling on a regular basis. They’ll roll around with each other on the ground and have quite the fun with each other! They’re outgoing girls that will greet you at the door, love snacks (boiled chicken is a fav), and are overall a very entertaining pair. They do well with other outgoing cats, but with very timid cats, Jolene will sometimes target them with chase games.

An ideal home for the girls would be with experienced cat adopters interested in two fun, quirky cats that want to be involved in the day-to-day life of their humans. There will be an adjustment period when going to a new home, as Jolene will likely be frustrated by having to learn her new surroundings. Once established and comfortable, the girls will be ready to live their best life!

All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped.

We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!
