Gracie Domestic Short Hair Maple Ridge, BC

Gracie is part of a bonded pair of cats who were surrendered for not using the litter box consistently. Gracie is about 4 years old and she must be adopted with her sister Elvira. Gracie is the shy cat of the 2 girls, but when she feels secure she does love to give and get attention. Gracie does use her litter box most of the time, but we have not been able to get to the cause of why she occasionally pees elsewhere.
We hope someone will want to welcome her and her sister in their quiet home, and all her issues will fade away!

From her foster:Gracie - she will start off timid at first until she gets the lay of the land but once she is settled in she makes herself at home.

Some of her favourite things are laying in front of the fireplace, having a nice scratch post to curl up on , and a cat tunnel to play and snooze in.

She’s very good about using the posts to scratch her nails on as well as the on the heavy cardboard scratchers on the floor.

Gracie is not really fond of being picked up and carried around but she will come up with you as you recline in your chair to watch TV. ?

She enjoys attention, and will start purring quite quickly once you start petting her as she lazes on her post.

Gracie is a good eater, enjoying a serving of wet food (FF pate her fave) in the morning and grazing on some grain free kibbles during the day.

She uses the litter trays but her only discretion is she will pee if you leave the bath mat down on the floor or anything cloth/soft on counter or floor.

I use good size open litter trays (covered would not be good for Gracie) and she likes a clumpy type litter…..sand or World’s Best.

I would use 2 trays for the cats and be good about keeping them scooped/cleaned.
