Gabriel - Tough Little Survivor Siamese Mix Hoquiam, WA

Gabriel has had a tough time in his short little life. He was rescued when running around a golf course during a bad storm, desperately trying to find shelter. When he came to North Beach PAWS, he had a bad case of upper respiratory infection which was successfully treated.

This handsome and brave little guy then had a complicated cryptorchid surgery which caused damage to his ureter. This resulted in him requiring emergency major surgery, when his ureter and kidney had to be removed.

This little angel is recovering in a foster home and should be ready for a new home in a few weeks, after his staples have been removed. Having only one kidney means he should be on kidney formula cat food the rest of his life. Other than that, he should have a normal life.

In spite of all the pain and medical treatment, he is very affectionate and will be a playful kitten once he has recovered. He gets along with friendly big cats.

His surgery took 1-1/2 hours so was very expensive, but he would have died without it. If you would like to help with the cost, please go to our website and donate there, or send a check to our P.O. UPDATE: Gabriel's staples are out & he is the most affectionate and playful little guy now! He is really a miracle kitten, and is now ready for his forever home.

For a variety of reasons, we were inundated with cats and especially kittens throughout 2023 and still have a lot of felines who need loving, forever homes.

So, through January, our gorgeous and social kittens are available at half their normal adoption fee, or two for one if you wish to double the fun! Adult cats are half price as well!

When adopted, all of our cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV. Their vaccinations are current, they have been treated for fleas and worms, they are ID chipped and they have had a wellness check by our veterinarian.

At this time, our adoption process is primarily by appointment only. However, we are ‘open’ to visitors, although you may have to wait – only one family in a cat room at a time right now. If you are considering adopting, PLEASE COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION PRIOR TO MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. This will help to make the process easier and faster.
