Flaps & Jet (Bonded Brothers) Tuxedo & Domestic Short Hair Mix New York, NY

Flaps (B&W Tuxedo) and Jet (All Black) were rescued along with their mother and five other siblings right after they were born on October 11, 2020. Neighbors in the Bronx had been feeding the stray mommy cat and her previous litter of four kittens, but had not gotten her fixed. The mommy cat was very friendly and the neighbors easily transferred her and this litter of kittens into a cardboard box . Bronx Tails picked up the whole family up on October 12th.

They spent the next few weeks nursing and growing up in a foster famliy's bathtub and then later had access to the full bathroom. Once they got old enough they started exploring even more, expanding their territory to include one of the guest bedrooms.

Both kittens are very sweet and affectionate, but also very rambunctious and playful boys. These two bonded early and have always enjoyed a good wrestling session or romp around the house. Meal time is their favorite time!

All Bronx Tails cats are spayed/neutered (when age appropriate), vaccinated, tested for Feline AIDS and Feline Leukemia (negative for both) and are litterbox reliable and loving toward people. Note: in the instance a kitten is still too young to spay/neuter at the time of adoption, we will schedule it with you when they are age appropriate.

***For our younger kittens, we either adopt them out in pairs or into a home with existing kitten friendly pets, so that they have companionship and a healthy outlet for their energy!

We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat is a good match for them. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the cat(s) to other pets, if needed.
