Ella Birman Mix Columbia, MD

C34250 Ella is a beautiful, female, Birman mix and she is looking for a gentle, quiet, adult home where she can relax. Ella is 11yrs old and she loves to sit at the window and watch outside. She would enjoy a cat seat or cat tree near windows. She also likes to lay in the sun shining on the floor that comes in
through the window. She is just a darling to have around. ?We do not know Ella’s current story, as she was found in park. Poor girl was lost and cold. She is also front declawed and without her claws for defense, she is lucky that someone who cared about her rescued her from this cold winter. We do know that 5 yrs ago, Ella lived with two small dogs that were 5 lbs and she got along. She is not good with bigger dogs at all, as she does not trust them. Ella is very smart and once you make a bond with her, she follows you around and comes to you when called, “Ella, Kitty Kitty”. Here at the shelter, Ella is still adjusting to the daily activity. She enjoys having a large box with a soft cat bed for hiding if something new scares her. She is interested in affection and rubs on us for attention. Right now, she is communicating well and coaching us as to when she is done being pet. If you understand how to read cat behavior and have patience to give Ella time to get used to your home, call us to make an appointment to meet her. Once you bond with her, she makes biscuits with her toes to show how happy she is.
