Edgar is a 2-year-old, extra-cuddly lap cat looking for his forever home!

Edgar loveeessss people and being pet. He spontaneously "flops" anywhere and everywhere (onto your feet, couch, rugs, etc) onto his side or stomach to get more pets. He likes to be near humans whenever possible but is content to quietly watch you work from home and not bother your laptop. He's very food motivated and looks forward to meal times (he's made a lot of progress not jumping onto counters). He's gentle and never bites/scratches and has never hid for any reason, so he's always in view chilling. A perfect mix of cuddly and playful. Not a fan of being brushed.

His playful personality has come out and he now likes to jump into the air to catch his spider toy. He has a morning and nighttime energy boost where he wants to play for a while. He likes to explore his space and find anything to rub against or scratch (has been getting great at only using a cardboard scratching post).

Edgar's energy level is highest in the mornings. Throughout the day he naps a lot and matches the energy level of his environment. His two daily energy boosts last about 10 minutes. He uses his scratching post many times throughout the day. His food routine has been a morning meal, noon snack, and evening meal to establish a schedule since he would eat everything all day if he could.

Edgar has been in a smaller one-person apartment (and work-from-home office) for the last month. He is very friendly to any visitors.

Edgar would be content in an apartment or any house that has room and things to explore. His ideal home is one where he has a bed close to humans at night, a big scratching post, and access to a window.

Edgar would do well with any owner since he's so friendly.

I think Edgar would do well with kids since he's never shown any sort of aggression over touching food while he's eating, petting, or any other daily activities. He would also like a playmate or cuddle buddy if there are other animals in the house.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
