Hi, my name is Dougie! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Affectionate, shy, friendly, active
-Can Live with Cats: Potentially with the right fit. Dougie has lived with a variety of cats previously, but can be a bit selective. We always recommend doing slow and supervised introductions.
-Can Live with Dogs: Not recommended.
-Can Live with Kids: 8+, Dougie can be a bit particular and would prefer a cat savvy family.
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Not required, but we recommend you give Dougie plenty of time to adjust to his new surroundings before allowing him to explore outside.
-History of Litter Box Issues: Yes - Dougie has had some incidents of urinating outside of the litter box. Since being in shelter, we have switched him to a urinary prescription diet which seems to be helping! He will likely need to be on this diet for the remainder of his life.
-Energy Level: Med/High
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, Dougie is good to go!

Meet Dougie - an active guy who is ready to find his forever home with some cat savvy adopters. While Dougie's face may appear unamused at all times, this guy is affectionate and quite the purr monster when comfortable. Dougie was surrendered for not getting along with one of the resident cats. The previous owner described the situation as Dougie and the other cat being "uncomfortable and unhappy", but never aggressive. If Dougie were to live with any other cats, the introductions would need to be slow and supervised to ensure everyone gets along!
