Meet Diego
Diego is a handsome tuxedo boy who is very sweet, affectionate and cuddly.
A backstory of resilience and recovery - Diego was found by one of our volunteers in East New York in March 2021. He was walking around looking for food. From the wounds on his body and his scrawny appearance, it was obvious he’d led a hard life on the streets. When she took him to be fixed, the veterinarian said he had entropion trichiasis (where the eyelashes grow in the wrong direction) so he had corrective surgery right away.
Soon he was recovering, gaining weight and getting lots of love and rest under the care of our shelter director and volunteer.
He was a sweetheart even while suffering and post-surgery continues to be a warm, sweet, cuddly fellow who just wants your love and affection. His calm gentle face and demeanor shows his inner strength and resilience.
He's currently being fostered at For Animals' director's home. Vetted, vaccinated, litter-trained, micro-chipped, neutered.
Can sweet Diego find his purr-fect home after a hard life on the streets?
