My name is Cookie, and before I tell you more about myself, my foster mom wants you to know that I am “lovable, sweet and funny”! She says that sums it up….

I am about two years old and was found wandering the streets. I probably sustained trauma to my eye and my foster family tried to save my eye with medications. However, it did not heal, and the vet had to make the difficult decision to remove it. I am adjusting well to my one eye existence. Probably at the same time as my eye trauma, I lost my whiskers on one side, but almost grew them back! I have a bit of a funny walk, but it does not bother me and I run and jump like any other cat.

I am so happy I was rescued as I really enjoy being with my people and also don’t mind nice dogs around. I typically like to be where the people are and find my spot to hang out. In the evening, I like to lay in your lap, or on the back of your chair. At night I have found sleeping very close to your bed, in my own little cat bed is very comfortable.

During the day, I can be found anywhere. I have no problem making myself comfortable. I every now and then take a run down the hallway and go back to snoozing and looking out the window. I have a keen interest in the contents of cabinets and closets, and am fascinated by everything with doors. My foster mom thinks it is pretty hilarious how I check out drawers and cabinets (I can open them myself), but she is not happy if I linger around the doors that go outside. So please keep an eye on me that I don’t sneak out again into the outside world!

I am obsessed with food and eat anything. You never have to call me, I will figure out quite fast myself when breakfast and dinner are being served. If you need me to come, just crinkle my treat bag, or call me and I will come running. I promise, I will love you as much as you will love me.
