- Has come a long way since arriving in our care, and will now greet us when we open her kennel door

- Loud noises and commotion are too much for her, so she's looking for a calm, quiet home with people who will give her plenty of time to settle in; a more mature home may be most comfortable for her, as well

- Is currently residing in a quieter area of the shelter, and we'd be happy to take you to meet her when you visit - just ask!

- Please plan on starting her in one room of your home and giving her quite a bit of time (possibly weeks) to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing her access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set her up for success by not overwhelming her

This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources.
