Health
Special needs. Thank you so much for your interest in Chevy. Sadly, we recently discovered that he has Grade IV/IV medially luxating patellas (Grade 4/4 displaced kneecaps). That is the worst grade and we consulted with a surgeon in Greensboro to see if this could be surgically corrected if we were able to raise the funds. She said that it requires extensive surgery and has a 50% failure rate. This means that Chevy now walks with his knees angled in and kind of waddles now that he is growing. As a result he will be prone to arthritis and will never walk like "a normal cat". He is normal in every other way and just needs a loving family who will accept him with his disability.
Good in a home with
Other cats, dogs, children.

Meet Chevy

Say hello to little Chevy!

Chevy was found in an engine by a mechanic, thankfully unscathed. Chevy is a whopping 1.8lbs at 8 weeks old (Do.b. estimated at 6/22/17) and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. This playful little guy is now ready for adoption!

Contact us at thefortfeline@gmail.com if you are interested in Chevy!

You can find out adoption application here: http://www.thefortrescue.org/adoption-application.html
