Meet Cheryl

Cheryl and Robin are two little girls we have had since they were 10 days old. They were extremely sick, malnourished and full of parasites. (Bonded pair with Robin)

As you can see, Cheryl lost an eye because she was so sick and the infection was too severe to save it.
Unfortunately these girls have calicivirus. Calicivirus is an extremely contagious respiratory disease (to cats), which is why they need to go to a home without any other cats.

We found out they have this disease because no matter what medication we tried, we could not stop the boogers. It is likely they will have varying degrees of boogers for the rest of their lives. From what we have seen, that is the only persistent symptom, but we do encourage anyone interested in the girls to please do your research.

On to the happy side of things… They are completely happy, goofy, funny kittens apart from the boogers. One of our favorite things about them is how obsessed they are with their foster moms crazy, energetic pitties. But they are also so sweet and loving. Robin is ADAMANT about getting attention when she wants it. Cheryl is the funny one. Being one eyed doesn’t slow her down at all. When she is done playing, she is happy to cuddle with you and take a nap.

Because they are afflicted with the same disease, and so emotionally bonded, we will require that they be adopted together.

Their foster is the practice manager of a veterinary clinic and happy to answer any questions you may have (adoptpurrs@gmail.com). They may not be “cookie cutter perfect” but they still deserve to find a family to love them for all their boogery impurrfections.
