Meet Charlie and Molly Mae
The world can be a dark and scary place sometimes, but for some kitties it’s that way all the time.
Imagine being born without eyes and how dire and devastating it would be when you’re weaned and left alone to fend for yourself. You go from the first 6-8 weeks where you have a mom that feeds you and siblings that snuggle together so everyone stays warm. Then one day, out of the blue, you’re on your own. Mom has weened your litter, everyone has taken off and left you to fend for yourself.
On top of being left all alone, freezing and starving, as you wander aimlessly looking for warmth and food. Imagine hearing all kinds of scary sounds, slamming car doors, the loud whoosh as they zoom down the street, barking dogs, but you can’t see any of these things, not even the ones that might kill you.
Thankfully Charlie’s angel noticed something was very wrong when he was a tiny kitten wandering around her yard. Charlie is now 4 months old, fully vetted and has her very own seeing eye cat, 6 month old Molly Mae. Charlie is just like a sighted kitten, plays and loves hard, uses the litter box like the champ he is, but he will need to be adopted with her companion Molly Mae.
Molly is 6 months old, and helps Charlie when he needs help. They play and cuddle together, and they are happy to cuddle with their people, too! They are great friends, but they are their own cats, too.
Charlie’s current foster is amazed and humbled by how much these kittens can do.
A ranch home without small children would be the best fit.
