Meet Charcoal

If you’re looking for a cat who wants to be your best friend—who will tell you with jet-engine purring that she LOVES LOVES LOVES being petted and loved on by you, who wants to be near you and help you out with everything you do—this 8-month-old kitten may be the girl for you!

Charcoal’s goal in life is to be BFFs with everyone she meets. Like the Little Mermaid, Charcoal wants to be where the people are: she wants to follow you around, rub happily on your ankles, and hear what a good girl she is. This lovebug’s favorite thing in the whole world is to be petted and to get quality time with her people.

Bonus adorable: Charcoal is a “wobble cat.” She was born with “wobbly cat syndrome,” a developmental condition that makes her, well, wobbly! It’s not painful or progressive, and she loves to play like any other kitten, she just looks even cuter and goofier doing it. At 8 months old, Charcoal is still a big kitten, and she is just so stinking cute. She loves to play with wand toys, lasers, or anything she can bat at! She is so spunky and fierce; this cat will crack you up!

Charcoal’s “wobbly cat syndrome,” AKA cerebellar hypoplasia, doesn’t require any special vet care. The only issue she is currently having is that she can’t seem to use the litter box, although since she goes to the bathroom in the same spot, we think she is trying to be neat and that it’s just an issue with lack of size and strength right now. With exercise and growth, she will improve, and in the meantime just needs an area with potty pads. We would also consider a “Foster-to-Adopt” with Charcoal.

Charcoal isn’t currently living with kids, but we do think she would do well with them. She is not a fan of dogs or other cats, and is looking for a home without other pets so she can have all your love to herself! She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, and ready to find her new forever home.
