Meet Carry

Three year-old Carry is a tuxedo girl who lost her home when the person who meant the world to her passed away. This is very traumatic for cats, but, thanks to the patience and kindness of her foster mom, she's slowly learning to trust again. She likes to be in her foster mom's presence so much that she follows her from room to room. As for petting... you know those cats who like to be pet only on their own terms? Carry takes this to another level. When her foster mom lowers her hand, Carry will rub against it, as if to say "Your hand will not pet me, I will pet your hand." Those are her terms.

Carry needs an adopter who's experienced with cats and who understands them enough to give Carry the patience she will need. She's also afraid of loud noises, so a quiet home would be right for her.

Carry has been spayed, is negative for FIV and FeLV, and current on vaccinations. Her adopter will receive her medical records.

There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. We know that the world does not beat a path to cats with Carrie's quirks, so her adoption fee has been reduced to a mere $45. She's being fostered in Somerville.

Cats can live over 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for her as we try to match people with the right cats.

In lieu of in-person adoptions, due to COVID 19, fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video app, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined the adoption process and has been going very well.
