Meet Butterscotch & Reese

Reese is a gorgeous 4 year-old tortoise shell female (black with orange and gold markings), while Butterscotch is a beautiful 14 year-old orange-and-white male. Butterscotch is very relaxed and friendly, and will come right up to a stranger to say hello, purring loudly all the while. Reese was a little shy when she first arrived but she is getting friendlier by the day! She came right up to her cat sitters recently and let them pet her, and will surely warm up to any new friends quickly.

Butterscotch is declawed, so will not be scratching any furniture. They are known to get along with older children. We are not sure about smaller children although they would likely be OK as well.

Butterscotch and Reese were surrendered to us recently when their person had to go into an assisted living facility. They are a bonded pair (see photos of them lying together) and should be adopted together. These beauties would make a wonderful addition to any home, so check out this two-cat variety pack!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the link below:

You will get a quicker response doing this rather than emailing us.

Also please consider fostering as an alternative to adoption: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/

We request $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. These fees fund neutering, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our web site: http://thecatconnection.org/
