Butternut (and Crumbles) Domestic Medium Hair Mix Santa Fe, NM

HISTORY: BUTTERNUT and CRUMBLES were adopted from a shelter but ended up as strays, living in their rescuer's yard. As it became clear nobody else was caring for them and winter weather arrived, their rescuer brought them to F&F for re-homing.
TEMPERAMENT: Both cats are so soft, despite having been abandoned to the outdoors for quite a while. They now clearly enjoy being safe and warm and well-fed at Santa Fe Cats. This bonded pair deserves to stick together and go into a quiet home where someone will spoil them!

Four-year-old CRUMBLES is a petite and sweet Tortie. She is a little princess whom BUTTERNUT would dutifully follow around. CRUMBLES was always friendly to her rescuers, but she does have a little sassy side. She would always talk, purr, and make biscuits on the ground at feeding time. She seems to be quick to warm up to new humans.

Before rescue, 2 year old Buff Tabby BUTTERNUT was regularly beaten up by neighborhood Tom Cats. As a result, he is more reserved than CRUMBLES, tending to keep his distance. However, BUTTERNUT had grown to really trust his rescuers. He would come running every time he heard their door open. While it took time to earn his trust, BUTTERNUTs rescuer was able to carry him inside before the pair were brought to F&F.

The pair would like to be re-adopted together, preferably by a patient adopter who will give them time to adjust once again.
