Meet Bit O' Honey

Birds of a feather, brothers Bit O’ Honey and Mary Jane Peanut Butter Twist can usually be found skittering around the shelter side by side-unless they are in the midst of one of their hours-long midday naps, in which case- you’ll likely find them stretched out and snoozing separately as they’ve gotten too big to snuggle up with each other on most of our cat trees. While these boys are notorious nappers, they are even more illustrious recluses and prefer sticking to the shadows during the day.

However, when the staff’s away these boys will play. These shadow cats live it up at night- you wouldn’t believe the number of Eufy notifications we get from these two and their nocturnal hi-jinks. It’s no wonder why they sleep the day away.

Though they are almost a year old now (their birthday is in August!), these boys are still very much lacking in social skills, and will need an extremely patient and understanding forever family to help encourage socialization and build trust. We know that once they feel comfortable in their homes, their little personalities will truly shine- they just need someone to give them a chance!

These bonded brothers will likely do best in a home with other cats to help keep them active and engaged- and are, unfortunately, a little too anxious around dogs and small children.

Both Bit O’ and MJ PB Twist are neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. As these brothers come from the same litter which we feel had been overbred to reproduce the Manx trait for tragically commercial reasons, these boys are predisposed to a lot of the genetic issues that Manx cats are victim to. Sadly, Bit O’ Honey already exhibits some of the ‘trademark’ irritation caused by fecal incontinence, but has responded super well to daily applications of Entederm!

-they are a bonded pair and must be adopted together!-
