We periodically have feral cats that need safe, rural homes where they can help with rodent control in exchange for a steady food source.
These are usually feral strays that are trapped, spayed, and vaccinated but come from places that are not safe to return them to - they are usually too scared of people to want to become house pets but still deserve a chance for a happy life.
