Meet Arya, a very sweet 8 year old girl!

This adorable little kitty was sadly surrendered by her owner because of her medical issue. Arya was just diagnosed with diabetes, but she is taking it like a champ! Her condition is very stable with a proper diet and daily insulin. Plus, she is so good about getting her injections and blood sugar testing, she is very easy to treat! Don't have experience with injecting insulin? No worries, we can instruct you exactly how to do it! Kitties with diabetes have a positive prognosis and a good quality of life with adequate management at home, and thrive on the same love and care as any other cat, a cozy spot close to you and pets. Arya has no other health issues, she is spayed and her shots are up to date.

Sweet and affectionate, Arya loves attention and has been described by our volunteers as a purring machine! She never wants people to leave and follows them to the door of her pod. She is very easy going and has taken all the recent changes in her life in stride, so we think she will adapt easily to her future home. We were told that she was in a household with a dog before but not in the last couple of years, so we don’t know if she will like dogs, or other cats. We are encouraging her adoption as an only pet to be safe, avoid stress and make sure she gets all the attention she loves. We also don’t know how she would feel about small children, so we are playing safe about that too, but not because this love bug has demonstrated any aggressive behavior!
