Arnold is a very sweet boy. He loves pets and rubs up against you when he's happy. He is great with other cats and will rub up against them, too. He is shy and skittish, so he would do best in a home with adults or older kids and with someone experienced with shy cats. He's always lived with other cats, so he would need one other feline friend in his forever home.

He has a gorgeous shiny coat and loves his neck scratched. He has a scar on his neck from an old wound, and he seems to like that area scratched. He also enjoys treats and gently eats them from your hand and he loves fresh catnip. He's very laid back. Overall a very sweet and nice cat who would make a great addition to your home.

Arnold is FIV positive and lives in our FIV colony room. However, many kitties with FIV live as long and as healthfully as other cats without the virus as long as they receive good nutrition and good medical care, which is what any cat should receive anyway! FIV is very difficult to transmit between cats, and poses no health risk to humans. It is spread primarily among cats through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Arnold could live with other FIV+ kitties, or even with kitties who don't have the virus if they are not aggressive.
