I'm Agate and I'm ready for a new home!

The nice people at the shelter know I've been an outdoor cat before because I have a clipped ear (someone must have thought I was feral and had me neutered) and I was found outside with an awful wound on my foot. My foot is healed now, thank you. They also know that, while I'm ok with people around me, a lap cat I will probably never be. I'm a good boy and have actually enjoyed living inside, but I'm slow to warm up to the volunteers who come to spend time with me. While I'm fine with people getting close to me, I don't like being petted except with one of those silly back scratchers. Oh, but I do love the treats they give me!

I'm very handsome in my tuxedo, if I do say so myself. My super long white whiskers are the envy of all the other cats and my three quarter length tail and crumpled ear are pretty cute. I love to play with feather toys and have great speed and agility.
