Meet Wendy

Wendy was found as just a wee baby, with her sibling, Tootles, abandoned and scared in the middle of a forest preserve. One adult pigeon, although unrelated to them (Tootles and Wendy are King Pigeons, and the adult bird, now named Peter Pan, is a pigeon racing survivor) was bravely watching over the two babies. As domestic pigeons, they had no way of surviving in the wild on their own and were so grateful when a kind human noticed them and GLPR volunteers rushed to the rescue. All 3 birds have been thriving and Wendy is now ready for an adoptive home of her very own! Wendy is a spunky, feisty young lady. As a king pigeon she is also one great big bundle of fluffy cuteness! Wendy is very excited to grow up knowing only love from her very own humans.
