Hades and Boo Boo Parrot Budgie / Budgerigar Jacksonville, FL

Hi everyone! My name is Hades, and I am up for adoption with my friend, Boo Boo. We are new friends and are still getting to know each other. My best friend passed away and my foster family hoped that Boo Boo would fill the void for me. Currently we are in separate cages until we get to know each other better.

We love to chatter in the morning when our foster mom wakes us up and says “good morning” as she grabs our food and water bowls. We also love to swing, and we LOVE chew toys! Our foster mom says we remind her of a paper shredder! We also enjoy sitting on the patio and watching the wild birds play.

Right now, we are working on hand training, I am easy to get out with a perch some days, but Boo Boo is still getting use to hands so he will need a bit more time to trust.

We enjoy attention! We will talk your ears off especially when you are watching us! Hades likes to be sprayed with a spray bottle when out on top of the cage and our foster mom is working to introduce bath time to Boo Boo.

Boo Boo is really funny when she gets excited and sometimes dances when rock music is playing. She also loves chatting when the cats are nearby. We are not afraid of well-behaved dogs, cats, and children.

We are on a pellet diet and our foster mom is introducing us to fresh fruits and veggies every day. We haven’t shown interest yet, but she is hoping that with time we will come around.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption.

Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
