Meet Buster and Billy, our duo of Yellow Naped Amazons.

Buster and Billy are older Amazons, and are estimated to be between 40 and 60 years old, based on history.

Buster has more yellow and Billy has the puffy cheeks - caused by a perforated air sac. Those are typically caused by falls or some sort of trauma, are usually not painful nor do they cause and problems, and are not necessary to treat, in his case.

Billy had a rather traumatic injury recently where he was on a stick, which fell to the ground and he hit his beak on the floor, snapping the beak off, critically short.

He saw the vet immediately, and we believe it will grow back, but he is under constant supervision to ensure it grows in straight and healthy. Through the injury, he's gotten quite used to being handled all the time and goes back and forth to our founders home every day just to make sure he's properly eating. While we are sad the injury happened to him, his little personality has really come out and he's pretty great.

Buster and Billy live together in the same cage and cannot be separated.

They do love treats especially, nutriberries, bananas, and mangos.

Regardless of where you adopt, never send deposits or money over the internet for animals you haven't met in person, no matter what they tell you. Reputable rescues (or anyone, really) don't ship animals to people they've never met. It's not safe and there are too many scams happening. Be safe!

Adoption Fee: $1200 for both of them to an approved home. We do also have cages available at the rescue for reasonable prices.
