Who we are
The Animal Control Division of the Public Works Department maintains the City of Tullahoma animal shelter and is responsible for enforcing the animal control laws within the city. This division strives to reunite lost dogs with their families and to place unclaimed dogs in good homes. We were awarded the 2004 Municipal Achievement Award for Excellence in Animal Control based on our adoption program.
Adopting a friend
The City Shelter Has Many Dogs Who Need Families.
The Tullahoma Animal Shelter always has a great variety of dogs to choose from for adoption. The $10.00 adoption fee is minimal when compared to the years of joy a pet can offer your family. State law also requires a $25.00 deposit, refundable upon proof that the adopted pet has been neutered or spayed. All unclaimed spay/neuter deposits are used to towards spaying and neutering other shelter animals. Pampered Pooch is offering a free bath for every dog adopted from the shelter. Microchip identification is now available to all dogs adopted from the shelter for a $10 or greater donation. For more details, contact Teresa at 931-454-9580 or 454-1768 or animalcontrol@tullahoma-tn.com.
