Viewing Our Pet List

The link for viewing our pets is at the bottom of this page. When viewing our pet list, please take note of the contact info. Sometimes, our pets are housed with one of our wonderful foster families, especially babies. If you don't find what you are looking for, please call us. Many times we get in great pets & they are adopted so fast their picture never gets up on our webpage. If you call us, often we can tell you what pets are available before they are posted on Petfinder.

Events

The 3rd Saturday of each month, we will have our monthly adoption day at the Super Wal Mart in Picyaune, Missississippi.

The 3rd Thursday of each month, the AAS visits the Pearl River Hospital and Nursing Home on Hwy 11 in Poplarville, MS. The residents look forward to and enjoy visiting with the animals. Contact AAS if you would like to volunteer for one of our events. Students are welcome! We are in need of volunteers and foster homes for our many pets. Please contact AAS if you are interested in volunteering or fostering a pet. When fostering, we supply all the necessary food and medical attention to the pet. Please consider becoming a volunteer or foster home.

Who We Are

Begun in 1994, the AAS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping abused, abandoned, orphaned & neglected companion animals by fostering them until they can be adopted into loving homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated & receives any other medical care that may be necessary. The AAS has a "No-Kill" policy, being more of a sanctuary type setting than a shelter. We hold various fundraisers such as pet washes, yard sales & can shakes nearly every weekend, and are always on the prowl for volunteers and loving homes for our pets. We survive on donations - without donations, we would have to shut down our operation. Please consider giving a donation today. All donations are tax deductible.

Adopting a friend

The adoption fee (unless specified) is $75.00 for both dogs & cats (mixed breeds) and $100.00-$200.00 for both dogs & cats (Purebred). AAS makes no profit from this fee. It is to help cover the medical and food costs (which can be well over $400 per animal) associated with caring for the animals in our care, including but not limited to; cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, heart worm testing for dogs & Fe-Leuk tests for cats-. If you are interested in adopting, call us at (601) 403-9011 Please note...ALL AAS PETS ARE STRICTLY HOUSE PETS!

Come Visit Us

Please make note of this when viewing our pet list so you will know where to call for a particular pet. For the time being, the AAS has no set visiting hours. You must call us at (601) 403-9011 to set up a time to visit with our pets. If don't get an answer, PLEASE leave a message, we will gladly return your call as soon as possible.
